It's Alive!

Duff Goldman challenges the bakers to wake the dead by designing dead-to-alive themed cakes, mixing ingredients that are dead and dark with those that are alive and colorful. One competitor's cake is deemed dead on arrival, and the remaining three bakers head home to create their showstoppers. Spectacular effects combine with the Halloween spirit as cake creatures rise from the dead to scare up a winner.

Cake decorating is Lori’s passion and allows her to express herself through sugar. She sees designs in everything from a shirt to wallpaper and often thinks to herself, ‘oh that would look pretty on a cake!’. Lori started on her cake journey less than two years ago – after working at an office all day, she decided to follow her passion and became a full time cake decorator in January of 2016. In February, she entered her first and only competition so far, the San Diego Cake Show. To her surprise, she won 1st place in the division.
